More about our leadership team
Erica Li
Founder and Executive Director
Hello! I am a student at St. Robert Catholic High School studying in the International Baccalaureate Programme. I am keenly language-oriented, taking specific interests in school subjects of English, French, History, and Economy. I am involved in student leadership at my school, in various clubs (HOSA, DECA, Debate, STEAM Council, Student Athletic Council, Dramatic Arts). My extracurriculars reflect that I hope to follow a business or law pathway in my postsecondary studies and endeavours. Outside of school, I am consistently taking part in competitions and initiatives in various learning areas, including speaking, writing, entrepreneurship, finance, economics, debate, social justice, health science, and education. A couple of my notable achievements include being the Speakers Idol Junior Champion (a national public speaking contest), delivering the Opening Presentation at the Spirit of Hope Conference with an audience of over 5000, and competing at the 2024 International Leadership Conference held by HOSA with my research paper on youth sports specialization.

Hi, I’m Maria Grigorian, a student at St. Robert Catholic High School with a variety of passions and interests, most notably in veterinary science, math, and the arts! My love for animals, sparked by my own pets, a cat and a dog, has inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. My love for animals stems from caring for my own pets, a cat and a dog. I have been inspired to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and I am now volunteering at a veterinary clinic, where I gain valuable experience in animal care by working hands-on. Outside of academics, I actively participate in various extracurricular activities that allow me to explore both my logical and creative sides. As a math tutor, I help students with their coursework while also encouraging them to reach ahead. I developed a close connection with music and visual arts from a young age. Piano has become a central part of my life after beginning at the age of four and has helped me conquer my fear of public performance and speaking.

Mia Luo
Director of Human Resources
Hey! My name is Mia Luo and I’m a student at St. Robert Catholic High School studying in the International Baccalaureate Programme. I take great interest in biology, philosophy, and the arts, particularly painting with watercolour and ballet. In school, I participate and hold leadership positions in clubs and teams (HOSA, DECA, debate), and outside of school, I regularly volunteer and work in clinical, pharmaceutical, and teaching settings. For example, I am currently employed as a teaching assistant at Mindbridge Education, helping students of varying ages to develop their debating skills, writing proficiency, and philosophical minds. Additionally, I volunteer for several hours a week at a medical clinic, shadowing specialists, taking weight and height measurements, and preparing weekly pill organizers for elderly patients. As some of my extracurriculars may reflect, my current career pathway points toward medical science, and I hope to be a dermatologist one day. However, when I’m not studying and I get a spare moment, I love to read, spend time with my dog, Saturn, and dance. I am ecstatic to be your Director of Human Resources and I look forward to providing you with new and unforgettable events.
Hi, my name is Kate and I am also studying in the International Baccalaureate Programme at St. Robert Catholic High School. I am very passionate about English literature, writing essays, and reading new books! I’ve been studying medical law and ethics for the past three years, and have had the opportunity to compete and place internationally at HOSA’s International Leadership Conference. Inspired by HOSA, I hope to pursue a future in medicine where I am able to contribute to health. I am also passionate about visual arts, and I spend my free time exploring various art styles including stippling, acrylic pouring, and painting! Overall, I’m so excited to be working alongside the other amazing members of this organization to bring wonderful events to the community!

Armita Shaikhidarani
Director of Communications
Hi, my name is Armita Shaikhidarani and I am a French Immersion student at York Mills Collegiate Institute. I have a strong interest in any science-related subjects, however, my area of expertise is biology. My strong passion for these subjects has inspired me to pursue a career in the medical field, where I am able to hopefully become a pediatrician. I also love going to the gym and working out, which has also allowed me to explore options with a kinesiology undergrad degree. To expand my knowledge and experience with medical-related things and children as well, I have started volunteering at a children's disability and rehabilitation hospital where I am able to extend my skills in working with children and gain knowledge in hospital settings. Additionally, I have also been employed as a children's tutor where I am able to work alongside kids ranging from ages 4 years old up to 16 years old. Throughout my employment, I have truly understood how to work and communicate with different types of kids. Overall, I am looking very forward to hosting wonderful events and aiding in their development as your Director of Communications!
